When I called with a question, they were very helpful.
Although Mowtown Waldo had oversold the blower I originally ordered, they quickly got a hold of me and offered a slight discount on the 3x28HD instead. I spoke with their rep and she answered my questions and put the order through. The HD shipped quickly and arrived in great condition. I put fuel in it, hit the prime bulb and pulled the cord ONCE....fired right up! Great machine and good customer service.
We apologize again for over selling, but are glad you like your new blower. Thanks again for your understanding and for taking the time to write this review.
I wish I'd had it before our last big snow. The snow became packed and hard to remove. This snowblower still did a pretty decent job.
Motown great place to buy from shipping was quick and on time the 3x28 cub cadet is ok nothing special only used it twice went through both accelerator shear pins not to impressed with that I will shop Motown again
Thank you for your review Scott. I am sorry that you are experiencing this. Do you by chance get heavy, wet now? This type of snow can sometimes get packed real tight behind the accelerator and the internal paddles. It then creates a brick of hard snow and this causes pins to shear. The only real solution is to continuously clear that space out with the attached shovel.
Short summary: Powerful machine, capable of cutting through hard packed snow. I'm VERY satisfied with my purchase decision.
Detailed summary: February 1-2, 2021 East Coast snow storm dumped 18+ inches on our area. I did the first pass with my 22+ years old Craftsman 26", powered by a 9HP Tecumseh, about 4 hours into the storm when the snow was still fluffy and the accumulation was about 6-8" without issue. I did the second pass after the snow storm ended and snow banks were created by the Town's snowplow, with the Cub 3X 28" on wheels. I could tell the Cub laboring hard on the packed snow banks but it did a good job clearing my rather large driveway. The speed spread on the factory setting was not optimum and I hope I can fine-tune it so that it can handle hard-packed snow with decent forward speed. In summary this is a well built machine, it has sufficient reserve power to remove packed snow that was very difficult, if not impossible for my older Sears Craftsman.
